Equine Division

In 2016 Ackroyd's Transport ltd expanded in to the equine transport industry with the purchase of a custom built 3.5t Bloomfield’s Professional Horsebox. With the creation of this division and expansion in to this sector we set out to offer a first class service for horse transport in Nottinghamshire and beyond. This division of our company is operated by Sarah Ackroyd who owns her own horses and has a keen interest in the welfare and safety of the horses she works with.

Sarah has numerous years of experience with handling horses from a young age, She also has studied Equine Management for 2 years at Brackenhurst College Nottingham gaining vital experience before moving on to Groom for the International Show-Jumper Billy Twomey. Over the years she has gained experience in handling mares, stallions and geldings from young ages which has made her the perfect addition to the company to operate this division.

Sarah’s experience in the sector along with her WATO Level 3 Accreditation, Type 2 Transporter Authorisation Certificate and DEFRA Licensing and approval makes us the best option for dedicated vehicle horse transport in Nottinghamshire and throughout the UK.
